The once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to swim with dolphins in their natural habitat is provided by dolphin safaris. Numerous pods of bottlenose and humpback dolphins can be found on the beach near the fishing community of Kizimkazi.

The 420 km³ Menai Bay Conservation Area was established in 1997 with the goal of halting the rapidly declining fish populations, and it provides official protection for dolphins.

We will head out to search for dolphins from the shores of the fishing village of Kizimkazi. Equipment for snorkeling is available for you. You have a 90% chance of seeing dolphins in the crystal-clear, turquoise-blue Indian Ocean when the boat takes you out into it.

The hues of Zanzibar contribute to the preservation of dolphins in Kizimkazi Bay’s waters. We advise guests to enter the water away from the dolphins with the least amount of disturbance possible, staying close to the boat, avoiding sudden movement, and letting the dolphins approach them. We also encourage our skippers not to chase the dolphins. However, this is not feasible on busy days when there are a lot of tourists.

You can enjoy some snorkeling after the thrilling experience of swimming with the dolphins, and then we’ll head back to the shore for lunch. The journey, which begins very early in the morning, takes roughly seven hours.
